Job Summary
We are looking for a Motor Engineer with strong fundamentals in electric machines and hands-on experience in motor simulation, testing, and characterization. The role involves supporting the design validation and performance optimization of traction motors through simulation, analysis, testing, and DFMEA activities.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of electromagnetic principles, motor control fundamentals, and practical exposure to motor testing and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electromagnetic and thermal simulations for electric motors (PMSM/BLDC Motors).
- Support motor design validation through simulation and experimental correlation.
- Conduct motor characterization activities including:
- Efficiency mapping
- Torque-speed characterization
- Back-EMF analysis
- NVH and thermal evaluation
- Analyze motor performance under different operating conditions.
- Work on parameter extraction and motor model development for control teams.
- Prepare and maintain DFMEA, test plans, validation reports, and technical documentation.
- Support root cause analysis for motor-related failures and performance issues.
- Coordinate with inverter, controls, mechanical, and testing teams for system-level integration.
- Assist in prototype build support, test setup validation, and data interpretation.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.

- Motor instrumentation
- Temperature measurement techniques

Documentation & Quality
- Experience in:
- DFMEA preparation
- Validation planning
- Engineering documentation

- Failure analysis methodologies
Qualification
- B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Power Electronics
- Electric Drives
- Mechatronics
Preferred Profile
- Exposure to EV traction motor applications.
- Understanding of inverter–motor interactions.
- Knowledge of automotive development processes is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret test data and correlate with simulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced product development environment.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per month
