We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Logistics Manager to lead our logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations from Lucknow and support the company's expansion plans.
Position Summary
The Senior Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory movement, dispatch planning, import/export coordination, and third-party logistics management. The role requires a strategic leader who can build efficient logistics networks, improve service levels, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Distribution Management
- Lead end-to-end logistics operations for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Develop logistics strategies to support business growth across India and export markets.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products while maintaining service excellence.
- Monitor transportation performance, freight utilization, and delivery timelines.
- Establish strong relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
Import, Export & Compliance
- Manage import and export logistics, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to applicable transportation, safety, and trade regulations.
- Coordinate with customs agents, shipping lines, and government authorities as required.
- Manage freight contracts and Incoterm-related activities.
Cost Optimization & Process Improvement
- Drive freight cost reduction initiatives and network optimization projects.
- Analyze logistics KPIs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with logistics service providers.
- Implement best practices in transportation planning and warehouse management.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor logistics, warehouse, dispatch, and inventory teams.
- Establish performance goals and operational standards.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct training and capability development programs.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Operations teams.
- Ensure alignment between customer requirements and logistics execution.
- Provide regular operational updates and performance reports to senior leadership.
Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong exposure to transportation networks across North India and West India distribution operations.
