Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to oversee the organization's accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in financial reporting, accounting controls, statutory compliance, and taxation. The role requires hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing Profit & Loss Statements, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and the capability to manage the finance team while supporting management with accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual Profit & Loss Statements, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
- Analyze financial performance and present management reports with actionable insights.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and inter-company transactions.
Financial Management
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability to ensure sound financial performance.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of compliance records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Review aging reports and implement measures for effective receivables management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Develop and implement best accounting practices and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.
- M.Com, CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in Hospitality, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Plantation industries will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in financial reporting, taxation, audits, and statutory compliance.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of Profit & Loss Statement, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow preparation.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, statutory compliance, and financial regulations.
- Financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- General ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
- Audit coordination and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
