Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 2–3 years in foundry molding and core shop operations
We are seeking a Core Shop Supervisor to oversee molding and core shop activities, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Achieve daily and shift-wise production targets as per the plan
- Supervise core shop and molding activities to ensure smooth workflow
- Monitor operations and reduce downtime through effective coordination
- Ensure material readiness for uninterrupted production across shifts
Manpower Management
- Plan and deploy manpower based on production needs
- Assign work and track operator performance during shifts
- Train and motivate team members to improve efficiency
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with company policies
Process & Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to standard core-making and molding processes
- Monitor process parameters to maintain product quality
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve issues
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvement
ERP & Documentation
- Update ERP systems with accurate production data
- Maintain shift reports and production records
- Manage ISO documentation and ensure compliance with quality systems
Safety, 5S & EHS
- Promote a safe working environment with zero accidents
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, PPE usage, and 5S practices
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain shop floor discipline
- Maintain proper housekeeping in the production area
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvement (Kaizen) opportunities
- Support cost reduction and productivity enhancement initiatives
- Contribute to waste reduction and operational efficiency
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing practices
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of foundry, molding, and core shop operations
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting
- Knowledge of ISO standards, quality, and safety practices
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
