Job Title: News Researcher – India News
Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Research national, political, social, and breaking news stories.
- Provide accurate background, data, facts, and archival material for news bulletins, debates, and special shows.
- Assist output producers, anchors, reporters, and assignment desks with story inputs.
- Track news developments, government announcements, court orders, elections, and policy updates.
- Prepare briefs, timelines, profiles, and explainer notes for anchors and senior editors.
- Verify facts, figures, quotes, and sources to ensure editorial accuracy.
- Monitor news wires, official sources, social media, and digital platforms for leads.
- Coordinate with field reporters and bureau teams for story updates.
Key Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of Indian current affairs, politics, and governance.
- Excellent research, analytical, and fact-checking skills.
- Familiarity with TV news workflows and newsroom tools.
- Basic knowledge of digital platforms and social media trends is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹26,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
