About the Role
Venture Skill India Pvt. Ltd. is currently managing academic recruitment for Government Polytechnic College, Meerut. We are seeking dedicated and highly qualified faculty members to teach Applied Mathematics and Applied Physics. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in building the foundational science and mathematical skills of diploma-level engineering students, ensuring they meet the rigorous academic standards required for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction: Conduct engaging lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions (for Physics) for first-year and second-year diploma engineering students as per the approved Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP) and AICTE syllabus.
- Curriculum & Lesson Planning: Develop comprehensive lesson plans, study materials, and practical assignments that bridge theoretical concepts with practical engineering applications.
- Student Assessment: Prepare and grade assignments, mid-term tests, and final examinations. Monitor student progress and provide targeted remedial support to those who need it.
- Laboratory Management (Physics): Oversee the Applied Physics lab, ensuring equipment is maintained, safety protocols are followed, and students gain hands-on experimental experience.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate attendance records, participate in departmental meetings, assist in the admission process, and support the college administration in academic audits and disciplinary matters.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Mathematics or Physics from a recognized university with First Class or equivalent grade.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience at the polytechnic or undergraduate level is preferred, though highly motivated fresh postgraduates with strong academic records will be considered.
- Desirable: Clearing the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or possessing a Ph.D. in the relevant subject is a strong advantage.
Core Skills Required
- Deep conceptual understanding of Applied Mathematics (Calculus, Algebra, Differential Equations) or Applied Physics (Mechanics, Optics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism).
- Excellent communication and instructional skills in both Hindi and English.
- Ability to maintain classroom discipline and inspire a diverse group of technical students.
- Proficiency in using modern teaching aids, digital boards, and basic educational software.
