Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Estimation / Proposal Engineer for an Electrical & Automation Panel Manufacturing company. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing techno-commercial estimates, developing proposals and Bills of Materials (BOM), selecting electrical and automation components, and preparing electrical drawings and schematics.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of IMCC, PCC, APFC, VFD, Soft Starters, HT & LT Panels, PLC & SCADA and experience in electrical panel estimation, design, and proposal preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Review project specifications, drawings, tender documents, and customer requirements.
Understand the scope of work for Electrical Panels and Automation Projects.
Prepare accurate techno-commercial cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical and automation panels.
Select suitable switchgear, electrical components, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, soft starters, and other automation products.
Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals and tender documents.
Develop detailed cost breakups and ensure accurate pricing.
Obtain quotations and negotiate pricing with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Coordinate with suppliers for component pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
Coordinate with internal teams such as Design, Projects, Purchase, Production, and Sales.
Communicate with clients, consultants, and other external stakeholders to clarify technical requirements.
Identify potential risks and cost variations during estimation and propose suitable solutions.
Ensure timely submission of quotations and proposals.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of electrical panel components and automation systems.
Good estimation and costing skills.
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical schematics.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to prepare accurate quotations and proposals within deadlines.
Preferred Profile
Diploma / B.E. Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics
2+ years of relevant experience in electrical panel estimation, proposal, design, or automation projects.
Experience in panel manufacturing / electrical automation industry will be preferred.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
