Role Overview
ALR Child Development Center is looking for a skilled, compassionate, and child-friendly Physiotherapist to assess and support children with developmental delays, movement difficulties, motor challenges, and physical disabilities.
The Physiotherapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve children's mobility, strength, balance, coordination, posture, endurance, and functional independence, with intervention tailored to each child's developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physiotherapy and developmental motor assessments for children.
- Assess gross motor skills, posture, muscle strength, balance, coordination, mobility, gait, range of motion, and functional abilities.
- Develop Individualised Therapy Plans with clear, measurable, and functional goals.
- Provide one-to-one physiotherapy sessions based on the child's needs and abilities.
- Support children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, genetic conditions, cerebral palsy, autism-related motor difficulties, and other conditions affecting movement and physical development.
- Work on gross motor milestones such as sitting, standing, walking, running, jumping, climbing, and stair negotiation where appropriate.
- Improve balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, endurance, posture, and movement quality.
- Support children in achieving greater independence in everyday physical activities.
- Recommend appropriate positioning, exercises, mobility strategies, and assistive devices when required.
- Monitor children's progress and regularly review and modify therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate assessment reports, session notes, progress records, and clinical documentation.
- Educate and train parents on appropriate home exercise programmes and positioning or movement strategies.
- Provide parents with regular updates on therapy goals, progress, and areas requiring support at home.
- Collaborate with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special educators, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, goal setting, and progress reviews.
- Coordinate with schools and teachers when required to support mobility, positioning, participation, and accessibility.
- Follow appropriate child-safety, infection-control, professional ethics, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognised institution.
- Appropriate professional registration where applicable.
- Training or experience in Paediatric Physiotherapy, Neurodevelopmental Physiotherapy, or Developmental Rehabilitation is preferred.
- Freshers with a strong interest in paediatric rehabilitation and willingness to learn may also be considered.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
