Role Overview
We are looking for an efficient, creative, and proactive Video Editor who can transform raw footage into compelling visual stories. The role involves editing videos for social media, event highlights, interviews, documentaries, and promotional content aligned with the vision and messaging of Jyot.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into high-quality videos for digital platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and other social media channels.
- Create engaging short-form content (reels, shorts) and long-form videos such as event recordings, talks, and documentaries.
- Add graphics, transitions, subtitles, background music, and motion elements to enhance storytelling.
- Perform music selection, audio editing, and sound refinement to improve overall video quality.
- Collaborate with the content and social media teams to understand the message and tone of the videos.
- Optimize videos for different platforms and formats.
- Maintain organized video libraries and project files.
- Ensure timely delivery of video content according to project timelines.
- Support the team in creating promotional videos for campaigns, events, and awareness initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in video editing or multimedia production.
- Proficiency in editing software such as:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Final Cut Pro (optional)
- DaVinci Resolve (optional)
- Strong understanding of music selection, audio editing, and sound refinement.
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
- Experience editing podcasts, interviews, or event recordings is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and color correction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Language Requirements
- Ability to work with content in English and Hindi.
- Knowledge of Gujarati will be an added advantage.
