POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an Sr English Editor to lead the English editorial function for Grades K–8. The role involves complete editorial ownership — from manuscript development to print-ready delivery — and requires strong academic understanding, editorial precision, and team management capability.
This is a senior individual contributor and leadership role suited for someone who can independently manage projects, maintain high editorial standards, and consistently deliver quality content within timelines.
The role is ideal for professionals who enjoy building processes, managing teams, and contributing to high-quality educational publishing in a structured yet fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the complete editorial process for titles (Grades K–8) from manuscript review to final production handover
- Lead and manage a team of writers and editors
- Review english content for:
- Accuracy
- Conceptual clarity
- Curriculum alignment (CBSE / ICSE)
- Age appropriateness
- Edit and standardise manuscripts as per editorial style guidelines
- Develop and maintain Mathematics editorial standards and processes
- Plan and track editorial schedules, milestones, and deadlines
- Ensure plagiarism-free, high-quality content delivery
- Coordinate with Design, DTP, and Production teams for accurate mathematical layouts and notation
- Work closely with authors and subject matter reviewers for content refinement
REQUIREMENTSEducation
- Graduate / Post Graduate / Master’s degree in English or related field
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in educational publishing
- Strong experience in editing or managing Mathematics content for K–8
- Experience managing editorial teams
REQUIRED SKILLSEditorial Skills
- Strong copy editing and proofreading skills
- Expertise in handling:
- Equations
- Worked examples
- Diagrams
- Exercise sets
- Understanding of mathematical notation and DTP review
- Familiarity with CBSE and/or ICSE English curriculum

- Compensation: As per industry standards and experience
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹115,000.00 per month
