Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations and business development activities in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, expanding market presence, and achieving sales objectives for laboratory chemicals, reagents, and raw materials. The role requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning, team coordination, and extensive customer engagement across industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, research institutions, educational organizations, and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Drive business growth by identifying and developing new customers, distributors, and market opportunities.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with key accounts, institutional customers, and strategic clients.
- Lead, mentor, and support Sales Officers/Executives within the assigned region.
- Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, product presentations, and negotiations.
- Promote the company's portfolio of laboratory chemicals, reagents, solvents, and raw materials.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Support, Logistics, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless customer service.
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, MIS reports, and business performance reviews.
- Ensure timely payment collections and maintain healthy receivables.
- Participate in industry exhibitions, seminars, and customer engagement programs.
- Drive customer retention and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of sales experience in chemicals, laboratory reagents, pharmaceuticals, scientific products, or related industries.
- Proven experience in territory management and business development.
- Experience in handling key accounts and managing regional sales operations.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales, channel management, and customer relationship management.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
