Job Overview
We are looking for a Cosmetics Chemist to develop and test innovative personal care and fragrance products. The role involves formulation development, product testing, quality compliance, and supporting manufacturing processes for skincare, fragrance, and cosmetic products.
Key Responsibilities
Formulation & Product Development
- Develop formulations for perfumes, skincare, haircare, and personal care products
- Evaluate and select raw materials, fragrances, and active ingredients
- Improve product texture, stability, and overall performance
- Support reformulation for cost optimization or regulatory compliance
Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct stability and compatibility testing
- Perform pH, viscosity, and quality analysis
- Evaluate packaging compatibility and product performance
Manufacturing & Scale-Up
- Support scale-up from lab batches to production batches
- Prepare manufacturing instructions and process documentation
- Troubleshoot formulation and production issues
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain formulation records and technical documentation
- Support compliance with cosmetic and safety standards
- Coordinate with quality and regulatory teams
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work with marketing, production, and quality teams
- Support new product launches and improvements
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field
- Experience in cosmetic or personal care formulation preferred
- Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulation processes
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of skincare, fragrance, or personal care products
- Familiarity with quality testing and stability studies
- Understanding of GMP and cosmetic safety standards
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and formulation techniques
