Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Fashion Designer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in domestic women’s ethnic wear. In this role, you will lead the design process from concept to production, translating market trends into commercially successful ethnic collections. You will work closely with our sourcing, sampling, and production teams to deliver market-ready designs.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Concept Development
- Trend Forecasting: Research and analyze upcoming market trends, color palettes, silhouettes, and fabrications specific to the domestic B2B women’s ethnic wear market.
- Sketching & Visualization: Translate ideas into clear, detailed hand sketches and digital illustrations.
- Color & Embroidery Detail: Select color stories and conceptualize intricate embellishments, surface ornamentation, print, and embroidery details.
Technical & Production Execution
- Tech Packs: Prepare comprehensive, accurate tech packs and specification sheets for sampling and bulk manufacturing.
- Pattern Making & Prototyping: Oversee pattern making and work directly with master tailors and sample makers to ensure perfect fit and construction.
- Sampling Supervision: Monitor the sampling process from initial prototype to final production sample, making necessary adjustments for cost and scalability.
Sourcing & Vendor Coordination
- Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Identify, source, and evaluate fabrics, trims, laces, and embroidery materials from suppliers while balancing quality and target price points.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with textile vendors, printers, and embroidery artisans.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design from NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy, or an equivalent top institute.
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience specifically in women’s ethnic wear within a manufacturing, export, or B2B brand environment.
- Software Proficiency:
- Design: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or equivalent design tools.
- Operations: MS Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data/range planning tools.
- Core Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fabric behavior, pattern making, garment construction, print techniques, and surface ornamentation (hand/machine embroidery).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset to coordinate across departments.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
