Job Description (JD) – Store Head (Pharma Industry)
Job Title: Store Head Department: Stores / Warehouse Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head
Job Summary:
The Store Head is responsible for managing all store and warehouse operations including receipt, storage, inventory control, dispensing, and dispatch of raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, and consumables in compliance with GMP and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage overall store and warehouse activities.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Purchase and Production departments.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO implementation for all materials.
- Maintain GMP, safety, and housekeeping standards in the store area.
- Verify inward and outward documentation and maintain store registers.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and audit support.
- Control material movement and minimise inventory discrepancies.
- Lead and supervise store staff and allocate daily work.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical store operations and GMP.
- Inventory management and stock control.
- Documentation and audit handling.
- ERP/SAP and MS Excel knowledge.
- Leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Qualification:
- 12th Pass amd Graduate in any discipline; B.Sc./B.Pharm./Diploma in Material Management preferred.
Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in store or warehouse management in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, including team handling experience.
Pharma Industry Experience is Mandatory
