JOB DESCRIPTION – IT EXECUTIVE Hospitality Industry

1. JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operation of all IT infrastructure, systems, software, networking, CCTV, hardware, and technology services across the hotel. The IT Executive will be responsible for providing timely technical support to all departments and maintaining hotel technology systems to support efficient guest service and business operations.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. IT Infrastructure & Hardware
- Maintain and troubleshoot all computers, laptops, printers, scanners, servers, switches, routers, access points, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software as required.
- Monitor the overall health and performance of hotel IT infrastructure.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, equipment, licenses, and warranties.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, replacements, and technical support.
- Ensure proper backup of critical systems and data.
B. Networking & Connectivity
- Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VLAN, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity issues across guest rooms, offices, restaurants, back-office areas, and other hotel facilities.
- Monitor internet connectivity and Wi-Fi performance.
- Troubleshoot network outages, slow connectivity, IP conflicts, and connectivity-related issues.
- Maintain network security and ensure unauthorized devices are not connected to the hotel network.
- Coordinate with ISP and network vendors for internet and connectivity-related issues.
C. CCTV & Security Systems
- Handle and maintain the hotel's CCTV surveillance system.
- Monitor CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, storage, switches, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot camera, recording, display, connectivity, and storage issues.
- Ensure CCTV cameras are functioning properly in all required locations.
- Maintain CCTV recording availability and coordinate with management/security for footage requirements.
- Assist in installation, configuration, relocation, and replacement of CCTV cameras.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of surveillance footage.
D. Hotel Software & Applications
- Provide technical support for hotel-specific software and applications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PMS, POS, payroll, attendance/biometric, inventory, accounting, HR, restaurant, and other hotel-related software systems.
- Coordinate with software vendors for technical issues, upgrades, configuration, and support.
- Assist departments in resolving application-related issues.
- Ensure proper connectivity between systems such as PMS, POS, printers, payment terminals, and other integrated systems.
- Maintain user accounts, access rights, and system permissions as authorized.
E. Hospitality IT Support
- Provide immediate IT support to Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, HR, Finance, Stores, Sales & Marketing, Security, and other departments.
- Attend and resolve IT complaints within the required response time.
- Support hotel operations during peak hours, events, meetings, conferences, and special functions.
- Ensure minimum downtime of critical hotel systems.
- Understand the operational requirements of a hotel and provide practical IT solutions accordingly.
F. User & Technical Support
- Install and configure Windows operating systems, applications, printers, email, and other required software.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, scanner, barcode scanner, biometric, and peripheral issues.
- Create and manage user accounts and access permissions as authorized.
- Provide basic technical training and guidance to hotel employees.
- Maintain proper IT helpdesk/complaint records and track pending issues.
G. IT Security & Data Protection
- Ensure antivirus, endpoint protection, software updates, and security patches are maintained.
- Follow hotel policies regarding passwords, user access, data security, and system confidentiality.
- Monitor unauthorized access and report security concerns immediately to management.
- Ensure regular backup of critical hotel data and systems.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, financial, and business information.
H. IT Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain updated records of all IT assets and equipment.
- Maintain records of IP addresses, network devices, CCTV devices, software licenses, warranties, and AMC details.
- Maintain IT purchase and replacement requirements.
- Prepare regular IT maintenance and issue reports for management.
- Ensure proper tagging and accountability of IT assets.

4. HOSPITALITY-SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, hospitality group, or similar property is strongly preferred.
- Candidate must understand the importance of 24×7 hotel operations and quick resolution of IT issues.
- Experience with hotel PMS/POS and other hospitality applications will be an advantage.
- Should be capable of supporting IT requirements during guest check-in/check-out, restaurant operations, meetings, events, and other hotel activities.
- Should understand the operational dependency of Front Office, F&B, Finance, HR, Stores, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments on IT systems.
5. QUALIFICATION
Education:
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Networking, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Candidates with strong hands-on hotel IT experience will be given preference.

8. IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT
The candidate must be a hands-on IT professional with strong practical knowledge of Networking, CCTV, Hardware, Software, Hotel PMS/POS, and IT troubleshooting. Candidates with only basic computer knowledge or purely administrative IT experience will not be preferred.
Hospitality IT experience is strongly preferred. The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day IT operations of a hotel property and responding quickly to critical system failures.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
