Role Overview
As a UI/UX Designer at Chitchaat, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling experiences across our platform. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to transform complex messaging workflows into simple and engaging user experiences.
You will play a key role in defining user journeys, improving usability, building design systems, and creating high-quality interfaces for dashboards, campaign management tools, analytics modules, chat applications, and customer engagement workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design process from discovery and research through wireframing, prototyping, visual design, testing, and implementation.
- Design intuitive user experiences for messaging workflows across WhatsApp, SMS, Email, Voice, RCS, and emerging communication channels.
- Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Design dashboards, reporting interfaces, campaign builders, chatbot management tools, and customer engagement workflows.
- Establish and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and UI standards.
- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and consistent user experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business requirements into elegant design solutions.
- Analyze user behavior and feedback to continuously improve usability and engagement.
- Advocate for accessibility, responsive design, and UX best practices across all products.
- Contribute to product strategy discussions and help define the future user experience vision for Chitchaat.
Must-Have Skills
- 3–5+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or related design roles.
- Strong expertise in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, design systems, and collaboration.
- Proven experience designing complex SaaS platforms, dashboards, workflow-driven applications, or enterprise products.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Expertise in creating user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, spacing, layout systems, and interaction design.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into actionable improvements.
- Understanding of responsive design principles across desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand frontend implementation constraints.
- Experience maintaining and evolving design systems and component libraries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing communication, messaging, CRM, marketing automation, SaaS, or customer engagement platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, and frontend development concepts.
- Experience working with analytics-heavy products and data visualization best practices.
- Understanding of AI-assisted user experiences, chatbots, and conversational design.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Azure Boards, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Experience using AI-powered design and productivity tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Fine Arts, Psychology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work across web and mobile platforms.
- Experience designing SaaS, enterprise, B2B, or workflow-oriented products is highly preferred.
