Overview of the Role
The Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new vehicles with the objective of achieving Volume and Customer Satisfaction standards. The role involves assisting customers in determining vehicle needs and completing financing and documentation wherever applicable. The Sales Consultant is expected to build customer loyalty and enhance customer satisfaction through professionalism, trustworthiness, sincerity, a positive attitude, and a business-like appearance at every customer touchpoint.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience
- Greet all customers promptly and provide timely professional service.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer enquiries, identifying customer needs, resolving concerns, and recommending additional services where appropriate.
- Build customer loyalty and promote the dealership brand image.
- Improve SSI (Sales Satisfaction Index) and other customer satisfaction-related scores.
- Deliver vehicles to customers in a positive and memorable manner.
Sales Process
- Follow the defined Sales Process (6-Step Demo & SANKALP).
- Use digital sales tools effectively during customer interactions (7" Tab, 10" Tab, ISVR, BSH, TDAA, Sales Genie).
- Prospect customers through phone calls, emails, mail, and face-to-face interactions to achieve prospect generation targets.
- Sell Accessories, Insurance, and Finance products.
- Maximize recommendation sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and income targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Complete customer records accurately and promptly in the Sales Genie App.
- Identify repeat customers and maintain long-term relationships.
- Contact previous customers, especially those nearing completion of finance tenure, regarding new product launches.
- Inform prospects about special programs and promotional campaigns.
- Maintain an effective customer contact system that generates repeat and referral business.
Planning & Execution
- Complete paperwork accurately and within timelines.
- Track sales progress, prospect goals, and sales deals.
- Adapt priorities based on business requirements.
- Maintain professionalism while dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Implement plans efficiently and ensure proper follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to improve dealership processes, showroom traffic management, inventory monitoring, operations, and customer service.
- Stay updated on Mahindra products and competitor products.
- Track competitor performance within the assigned territory.
Work Experience
- Experience in Marketing or Sales (counter sales/door-to-door sales).
- Four-wheeler automobile industry experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid four-wheeler driving licence.
