Job Summary
Responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining pharmacy inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing patient counseling with a focus on ophthalmic medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines as per doctors' prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and drug interactions.
- Counsel patients on the proper use of eye drops, medications, and storage.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and monitor stock levels and expiry dates.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.
- Maintain dispensing records and pharmacy documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for effective patient care.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines.
Qualifications
- D.Pharm or B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
Experience
- 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Experience in an eye hospital is an added advantage.
Key Skills
