1. Academic Management
- Support the Principal in planning and implementing academic programmes.
- Monitor teaching and learning standards across classes.
- Coordinate with HODs, coordinators, and teachers regarding academic matters.
- Review lesson plans, assessments, examinations, and academic reports.
- Monitor student academic performance and take corrective measures where required.
- Encourage innovative and effective teaching practices.
2. Staff Management
- Supervise and guide teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, and performance.
- Address staff-related concerns in coordination with HR and the Principal.
- Conduct staff meetings and follow up on assigned responsibilities.
- Support staff training and professional development programmes.
3. Student Management & Discipline
- Maintain discipline and proper conduct among students.
- Handle serious student concerns, behavioural issues, and complaints.
- Ensure implementation of school rules and policies.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
4. Parent & Community Relations
- Handle parent concerns and grievances professionally.
- Coordinate with parents regarding academic and behavioural matters.
- Maintain positive relationships between the school and parents.
- Represent the school in meetings and events when required.
5. School Administration
- Assist the Principal in the day-to-day functioning of the school.
- Ensure smooth coordination between different departments.
- Monitor school activities, assemblies, events, examinations, and programmes.
- Ensure that school policies and procedures are properly implemented.
- Take charge of the school in the absence of the Principal, as delegated.
6. Compliance & Documentation
- Assist in maintaining academic and administrative records.
- Support compliance with CBSE/school regulations and statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and documents by concerned departments.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
7. Events & Activities
- Coordinate and supervise school functions, competitions, exhibitions, celebrations, and other activities.
- Ensure proper planning and execution of school events.
- Coordinate with activity heads, teachers, students, and support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or a relevant subject preferred.
- B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred, as applicable to the school's requirements.
- Strong knowledge of school academic and administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of CBSE curriculum and school compliance is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in school education.
- Previous experience in a senior academic/administrative leadership position is preferred.
