Department : Calibration Laboratory
Summary:
The Thermal Calibration officer is responsible for performing precise thermal calibration and verification of temperature measurement systems and devices. This role involves working with a wide variety of thermal instruments, such as thermocouples, RTDs (resistance temperature detectors), and infrared thermometers, ensuring that these systems meet established accuracy standards. The officer will collaborate with technical manager to support testings, verification, documentations and compliance processes.
Qualification:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or instrumentation engineering in related field. Relevant certifications or training in thermal calibration is a plus.
Experience : 2 to 5 Years
Skills Required:
Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in thermal calibration of instruments (thermocouples, RTDs, IR thermometers, ovens, chambers)
– Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and calibration protocols
– Familiarity with reference instruments and temperature-controlled environments
– Ability to verify, test, and troubleshoot thermal measurement systems
– Experience in maintaining and repairing calibration tools and equipment
– Competence in interpreting calibration certificates, technical drawings, and schematics
– Understanding of environmental control systems and temperature measurement standards
Soft Skills:
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Effective documentation and report-writing skills
