Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Knowledge of Solar PV systems, HT/LT electrical systems, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and solar plant monitoring tools is preferred.
Job Summary
The O&M Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization of solar power plants. The role involves ensuring maximum plant availability, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Monitoring
- Monitor solar plant performance through SCADA and remote monitoring systems.
- Ensure maximum generation and plant uptime.
- Analyze plant performance data and identify performance losses.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly generation reports.
Maintenance Activities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for solar PV systems.
- Conduct routine inspection of solar modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
- Coordinate module cleaning schedules and vegetation control activities.
- Ensure timely replacement of faulty components.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and resolve faults in solar PV systems, inverters, string monitoring units, transformers, and electrical panels.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support and warranty claims.
- Maintain fault logs and ensure closure within defined timelines.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Maintain records related to permits, safety audits, and statutory compliance.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment history records.
- Prepare incident reports and root cause analysis (RCA) reports.
- Track spare inventory and recommend procurement requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Support site audits and customer visits.
- Assist management in plant performance improvement initiatives.
