About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Intern to manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial record management. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, statutory compliances, and experience working with accounting software such as Zoho Books.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain daily accounting entries and record financial transactions accurately in Zoho Books.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain sales invoices, purchase invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities and coordinate with the Chartered Accountant for timely filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare MIS reports, expense summaries, and financial reports using accounting and banking data.
- Track expenses and maintain proper documentation for audits and internal records.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for invoice collection, payment follow-ups, and expense verification.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company accounting procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Final-year students may also apply).
- Minimum 6 months of internship or practical experience in accounting or finance.
- Basic understanding of GST, TDS, bookkeeping, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books preferred.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and basic reporting.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
