An Electrical Foreman is a key on-site leader who supervises electrical teams. They bridge the gap between project managers and field electricians. Their duties include interpreting blueprints, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, managing daily materials, and enforcing strict safety protocols.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Assign daily tasks, mentor apprentices, and evaluate the performance of the electrical crew.
- Project Planning: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contract documents to plan daily/look-ahead schedules.
- Quality Control: Inspect electrical installations, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure all work meets local safety codes and project specifications.
- Material Management: Order, track, and manage the inventory of tools, wires, panels, and other electrical supplies needed for the site.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct regular safety meetings, enforce usage, and ensure the team complies with the latest National Electrical Code or local electrical regulations.
- Reporting: Document daily progress, manage time cards, and communicate effectively with project managers and other construction trades.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Typically requires 8+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician, coupled with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Certifications: Often requires valid state or local electrical licenses Journeyman or Master Electrician) and OSHA safety certifications.
- Technical Skills: Strong mathematical abilities, code calculations, and the ability to operate diagnostic equipment ( voltmeters, mergers).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Pay: ₹12,000.62 - ₹22,800.14 per month
