Business Development Lead — Pyrolysis & Chemical Recycling (International Markets)

APChemi is a Mumbai-based chemical technology company specializing in pyrolysis and chemical recycling of plastics, tires, and biomass. We deliver pyrolysis technology, pilot plants, purification solutions, and engineering services (acting as the client's technical representative on their projects) to clients across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
About the Role
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to own our international sales pipeline. This is a precision role, not a volume role. Your mandate is to identify, qualify, and win business from two specific groups: (1) companies in developed markets that are already funded for pyrolysis or chemical recycling projects, and (2) investors actively deploying capital into pyrolysis and allied activities (recycled fuels, biochar, carbon credits, sustainable chemicals).
You will be measured on the quality of counterparties you bring to the table — not the quantity of conversations. Verifying that a prospect has funding and clear intent BEFORE engaging deeply is the core skill of this job.
What You Will Do
- Build and qualify a pipeline of funded pyrolysis project owners and investors in the US, Europe, UK, Australia, Japan, and other developed markets
- Run financial qualification on every inbound and outbound lead: funding status, budget range, decision authority — and politely disqualify prospects who do not meet the bar
- Draft client-facing proposals, NDAs, meeting minutes, and follow-ups in clear, professional English
- Coordinate with our engineering team to convert qualified leads into pilot projects, technology supply, and engineering services contracts
- Use AI tools daily (Claude, market-intelligence agents, CRM automation) to research prospects, personalize outreach, and manage the pipeline — we are an AI-first organization
- Report pipeline status to the CEO weekly with data, not narratives
What We Are Looking For
- Exceptional written and spoken English — you will correspond daily with executives in the US and Europe, and your emails represent the company
- Working knowledge of prompt engineering, coding or scripting (e.g., Python, basic automation) — enough to build and operate AI-assisted research and outreach workflows
- Strong qualification discipline: you ask about money early and walk away from unfunded prospects without hesitation
- Engineering or science background preferred but not mandatory
- Comfort working across time zones with international clients
- Seriousness about making a career in business development and customer acquisition
Compensation
Starting CTC: Rs 25,000/month + incentives.
