Educator – Accounting (CIE)

Head of Department / Cambridge Programme Coordinator
Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality teaching in Accounting aligned with the Cambridge International Education (CIE) curriculum, fostering analytical thinking, financial literacy, and examination readiness while creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Cambridge Accounting (IGCSE, AS & A Level, as applicable).
- Prepare lesson plans in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum and school academic calendar.
- Promote conceptual understanding through practical examples and real-world business scenarios.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
Curriculum Planning
- Develop yearly, term-wise, and weekly curriculum plans.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
- Prepare learning resources, worksheets, presentations, and assignments.
- Participate in curriculum review and enhancement initiatives.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design formative and summative assessments aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Evaluate student performance objectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and assessment data.
- Analyse assessment outcomes to improve student achievement.
Student Development
- Encourage critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and financial awareness.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide interventions.
- Mentor students in examination preparation and study strategies.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and uphold school policies.
- Ensure effective classroom organization and time management.
- Promote student participation and collaborative learning.
Parent Communication
- Communicate student progress regularly with parents.
- Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Address academic concerns professionally and promptly.
Professional Development
- Participate in Cambridge professional development programmes and school training sessions.
- Stay updated with curriculum changes, assessment practices, and educational best practices.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and collaborative planning.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation.
- Submit reports and examination data within stipulated timelines.
- Support school events, examinations, admissions, and academic activities as assigned.
Compliance & Student Safety
- Adhere to Cambridge International Education standards and school policies.
- Ensure compliance with child safeguarding, POSH, POCSO, and health & safety guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and school information.

Qualifications
- Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
- Cambridge International teaching certification/training (preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in Cambridge International (IGCSE/AS & A Level) Accounting.
- Experience in handling Cambridge examinations and assessment practices is desirable.
Pay: ₹25,892.44 - ₹60,243.91 per month
