Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee inventory planning, warehouse operations, material movement, and stock control in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP software, and manufacturing processes to ensure optimum stock availability while minimizing inventory costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day inventory operations, including receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP systems.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
- Plan and execute periodic stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Planning, Quality, and Finance departments.
- Monitor inventory aging and reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and MIS.
- Optimize warehouse space and improve inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inward and outward material movement and maintain proper documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Lead and develop the inventory/store team to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement inventory control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Inventory Management or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management within a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in furniture manufacturing will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Understanding of production planning and material requirement planning (MRP).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
