Associate Software Engineer

In this role you will get to:
Contribute to mission-critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's applications and internal ecosystems.
Be part of an agile, cross-functional team that continuously experiments, iterates, and delivers on product objectives.
Design, build, and scale reusable systems supporting our core Unified Search & Book - Search Platform Team.
Showcase your engineering skills by optimizing frontend component performance, improving layout rendering cycles, hardening client-side failure recovery, and enabling real-time customer personalization across high-traffic search paths.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
2+ years of professional JavaScript/TypeScript experience with a proven track record of shipping highly performant, consumer-facing web projects.
Deep production-level expertise in modern client-side libraries, specifically React.
Experience building server-side applications and utilities with Node.js, displaying a firm understanding of runtime mechanics and common frameworks like Express.
AI-Native & Forward-Thinking Mindset: Comfortably utilizes modern AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to maximize frontend development efficiency, accelerate client-side debugging, and automate UI/integration test suites while bringing an active interest in leveraging AI utilities for smart dynamic UI rendering and layout adaptation.
Comfortable developing, querying, and optimizing GraphQL APIs to seamlessly bridge complex backend data systems with web interfaces (a major plus).
Knowledge of Java and standard RESTful API integration patterns is highly desirable (a major plus).

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
