A dynamic, high-growth integrated communications and public relations firm is seeking a highly motivated Junior PR Executive to join its media relations and brand strategy group. The ideal candidate will have exactly 1 to 2 years of dedicated professional agency or corporate public relations experience. You will support account management teams, drive daily media engagement, draft compelling communication collateral, and track campaign performance metrics to enhance visibility and reputation metrics for a diverse portfolio of consumer and corporate brands.Core Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously expand active regional and national media contact lists across print, digital, electronic, and broadcast channels.
- Coordinate directly with journalists, editors, and media publishers to pitch feature stories, secure brand coverage, and schedule executive interviews.
- Draft high-quality communication materials, including press releases, media advisories, executive talking points, pitch notes, and official company statements.
- Monitor daily media tracking frameworks to identify, analyze, and clip brand coverage, compiling comprehensive PR coverage reports for corporate stakeholders.
- Assist in the end-to-end planning, logistics coordination, and execution of press conferences, media roundtables, product launches, and promotional corporate events.
- Collaborate with internal creative, digital, and content writing teams to ensure seamless narrative alignment across all public-facing communication channels.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Total Experience: Non-negotiable 1 to 2 years of full-time, practical experience operating within a public relations agency or corporate corporate communication environment.
- Communication Depth: Exceptional verbal articulation and written English capabilities, with a proven knack for copy-editing, storytelling, and pitch development.
- Media Network: Foundational understanding of the regional media landscape and current journalism trends, with a demonstrated ability to foster professional relationships with media personnel.
- Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong multi-tasking capabilities under tight deadlines, and proficiency in standard office productivity suites and media tracking databases.
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate diploma in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, or a closely related corporate humanities discipline.
