Job Purpose
To impart quality education in Mathematics to students of Classes XI and XII, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, prepare students for Board and competitive examinations, and contribute to the overall academic excellence of the school.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons as per the prescribed curriculum.
- Teach Mathematics to Senior Secondary students (Classes XI & XII).
- Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Prepare yearly lesson plans, unit plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
- Conduct periodic assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Analyze examination results and take corrective measures for academic improvement.
- Prepare students for Board Examinations and competitive exams such as JEE, Olympiads, etc.
- Utilize innovative teaching methodologies and digital learning tools to enhance learning outcomes.
Student Development
- Identify individual learning needs and provide remedial or enrichment support.
- Mentor and guide students for academic and personal development.
- Promote logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and mathematical thinking.
- Maintain student academic records and progress reports.
School Responsibilities
- Participate in staff meetings, academic reviews, workshops, and training programs.
- Assist in curriculum planning and academic initiatives of the school.
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities assigned by the school.
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE/State Board norms and school policies.
QualificationsEssential
- M.Sc. Mathematics with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
Preferred
- CTET/TET qualification (if applicable).
- Additional certifications in educational technology or pedagogy.
Experience
- Minimum 8-15 years of teaching experience as PGT Mathematics in a reputed CBSE/State Board school.
- Experience in teaching Classes XI & XII and preparing students for Board Examinations.
- Experience in handling competitive examination preparation will be preferred.
