Position description: Join Jindal Stainless Limited as a Mechanical Engineering professional contributing to the metals sector. This role involves supporting the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment critical to stainless steel production. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency, ensure equipment reliability, and uphold safety standards. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a dynamic industrial environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components and systems used in stainless steel manufacturing processes.
- Mechanical Maintenance Shift Handling for 20 Hi Rolling Mills, Horizontal Bright Annealing Lines & Slitting Lines in Cold Rolling Division.
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency in shifts.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and production teams to implement process improvements and optimize machinery performance in shifts.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and maintenance manuals for mechanical systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and contribute to the development of corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for sourcing mechanical parts and equipment, ensuring adherence to quality and cost parameters.
- Assist in the implementation of health, safety, and environmental protocols within the mechanical department.
- Support project execution by monitoring timelines, resource allocation, and technical deliverables under supervision.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to mechanical engineering in mining and metals.
