Yarn Dyed Fabric Designer / Product Development Executive
Location: Salem, Tamil Nadu
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Yarn Dyed Fabric Designer to manage fabric development and production follow-up from design stage through finished fabric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new yarn-dyed fabric designs, constructions, and color combinations.
- Analyze yarn counts, fabric constructions, EPI/PPI, GSM, weave structures, and costing.
- Prepare fabric specifications and development sheets.
- Plan and issue yarn quantities for dyeing based on fabric requirements.
- Coordinate and follow up with dyeing units to ensure timely dyeing and shade approvals.
- Monitor dyed yarn receipts and maintain production records.
- Coordinate warping activities and ensure correct yarn allocation and beam preparation.
- Follow up with weaving units to achieve required quality and production schedules.
- Manage complete fabric development from bit loom/sample stage to bulk production and finished fabric.
- Coordinate with processing units, quality teams, and production departments.
- Monitor quality parameters including shade variation, construction, GSM, shrinkage, and weaving defects.
- Ensure timely execution of orders and maintain regular production status updates.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in yarn-dyed fabric design and production coordination.
- Strong knowledge of yarn counts, weave structures, fabric constructions, dyeing, warping, and weaving processes.
- Experience handling complete production follow-up from yarn planning to finished fabric.
- Knowledge of textile CAD software will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple developments simultaneously.
