About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and commercially driven Finance Controller to independently manage the Finance & Accounts function of a Business Unit at Expora. The role will oversee financial operations, reporting, banking, taxation, compliance, working capital, and controls.
The ideal candidate should be able to manage the function independently, work closely with senior management, identify financial gaps and provide insights that support business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Finance & Accounts and ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures, including reconciliations, provisions, accruals, AP, AR, and GL.
- Manage receivables, collections, payables, vendor balances, payment schedules, and cash-flow requirements.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and profitability reports, highlighting key variances and trends.
- Drive margin and profitability analysis across products, customers, channels, or business segments, as applicable.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and variance analysis to support business planning.
- Manage banking relationships, working capital facilities, renewals, limit enhancements, documentation, and negotiations.
- Prepare CMA data, stock statements, financial projections, and other banking-related submissions.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, taxation, audit, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Strengthen financial controls, accounting processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.
- Identify financial leakages, cost inefficiencies, and process gaps and drive appropriate corrective actions.
- Partner with business and operations teams to evaluate the financial impact of key commercial decisions.
What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting including book closure and reconciliations.
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation and statutory compliances.
- Practical experience in banking, working capital and cash-flow management.
- Strong understanding of MIS, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, particularly while dealing with banks, auditors, consultants and internal teams.
- High level of ownership, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
