Job Summary
The News Reporter will be responsible for researching, investigating, writing, and presenting news stories across multiple platforms. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong journalistic ethics, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while ensuring accuracy and credibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, investigate, and report on local, national, and regional news stories.
- Cover breaking news, political events, press conferences, social events, crime, education, business, healthcare, and community issues.
- Conduct interviews with public officials, industry experts, and other relevant sources.
- Verify facts and ensure the accuracy, fairness, and credibility of every news report.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging news scripts and articles.
- Present news reports confidently on camera whenever required.
- Coordinate with camera operators, producers, editors, and the editorial team during assignments.
- Capture photos, videos, and supporting content from the field when necessary.
- Maintain strong relationships with reliable news sources and government departments.
- Stay updated with current affairs, industry developments, and emerging trends.
- Follow editorial policies, journalistic ethics, and legal guidelines.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly reporting targets.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and/or English.
- Strong interviewing, research, and investigative abilities.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
- Confidence in reporting on camera.
- Strong news judgment and editorial awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Basic understanding of digital journalism and social media platforms.
- Good teamwork and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively for news coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in digital media, television, print media, or news reporting.
- Freshers with exceptional communication skills and strong journalism knowledge may also apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in live reporting.
- Knowledge of mobile journalism (MoJo).
- Basic photography and videography skills.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong network of local contacts and news sources.

Working Hours
- 6 Days a Week
