They lead a team of dispatchers, optimize delivery schedules, resolve transit delays, and ensure compliance with safety and company protocols. This hands-on role bridges warehouse operations, drivers, and customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership: Recruit, train, and evaluate dispatch staff; build schedules and manage performance metrics.Route Optimization: Assign daily routes, monitor vehicle progress using management software, and adjust schedules to maximize productivity.Issue Resolution: Act quickly on road emergencies, breakdowns, or customer service interruptions.Documentation & Compliance: Oversee E-way bills, proof of deliveries, and shipping logs while ensuring adherence to legal transport and safety regulations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to ensure on-time, accurate dispatch of goods
