Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day housekeeping operations of the hospital, ensuring a clean, hygienic, safe, and infection-free environment for patients, attendants, visitors, and staff. The role involves managing housekeeping personnel, monitoring cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with NABH guidelines, and coordinating with other departments for smooth hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily housekeeping activities across OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, LDR, wards, laboratories, offices, public areas, and washrooms.
- Ensure hospital cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained as per NABH and infection control protocols.
- Prepare duty rosters, allocate work, and monitor attendance of housekeeping staff.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality audits of all hospital areas.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical and general waste.
- Coordinate with the Infection Control Team to maintain sanitation standards.
- Monitor housekeeping consumables, chemicals, linen, and equipment inventory.
- Raise purchase requests and maintain stock records.
- Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, infection control, PPE usage, and patient etiquette.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for repairs and upkeep of hospital facilities.
- Handle patient and staff complaints related to housekeeping services and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, audit reports, and daily activity logs.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline (Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Facility Management preferred).
- Mandatory: 3–5 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a hospital.
- Knowledge of NABH standards, infection control, biomedical waste management, and hospital housekeeping procedures.
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Kannada.
- Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals, machinery, and cleaning protocols.
- Ability to plan manpower deployment and manage shift operations.
- Problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).

- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Patient-centric approach with attention to detail.
Work Schedule
- Rotational shifts
- 6-day working week
- Weekly off as per hospital policy.
Pay: ₹9,896.27 - ₹26,947.21 per month
