About the Role
Cywarden is looking for enthusiastic and motivated SOC Interns to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to Managed Detection & Response (MDR), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR), email security, incident monitoring, and modern cybersecurity operations.
As a SOC Intern, you will work alongside experienced security professionals, assisting in monitoring security alerts, investigating suspicious activities, documenting incidents, and learning how enterprise security environments are protected using industry-leading security platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts generated from EDR, XDR, MDR, and email security platforms.
- Assist in identifying, triaging, and escalating potential security incidents.
- Learn and support the incident response lifecycle, including detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Monitor endpoint security events and investigate suspicious activities.
- Assist in phishing email investigations and email security analysis.
- Perform basic log analysis and security event correlation.
- Support threat intelligence research and IOC (Indicators of Compromise) analysis.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities.
- Assist senior SOC analysts with threat hunting and security monitoring.
- Learn cybersecurity frameworks, attack techniques, and industry best practices.

Skills Required
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).

- Familiarity with common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and brute-force attacks.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new security technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E/BCA. (Specialization in Cybersecurity) or equivalent.
- Recent graduates or final-year students are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus, such as:
- Google Cybersecurity Certificate
- CompTIA Security+ (or pursuing)
- SC-900: Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) by ISC2
- eJPT or equivalent beginner-level certifications
Pay: ₹16,355.56 - ₹18,000.00 per month
