Job Summary
As a Senior Academic Counsellor, you will be responsible for counselling prospective students, understanding their educational requirements, recommending suitable online degree programs, and converting enquiries into successful enrolments. This role combines consultative counselling with sales excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, and virtual meetings.
- Understand students' educational background, career aspirations, and learning needs.
- Recommend suitable online degree and certification programs.
- Guide students through the complete admission and enrolment process.
- Follow up with leads and maintain a healthy conversion ratio.
- Achieve monthly sales and admission targets.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions using CRM software.
- Resolve student queries professionally and provide exceptional customer experience.
- Stay updated with university offerings, admission processes, and industry trends.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in Academic Counselling, Education Sales, EdTech Sales, or Online Higher Education Counselling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales aptitude with consultative selling skills.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools is preferred.
