Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to support our construction and engineering projects. The candidate will assist in site supervision, execution, measurements, quality checks, documentation, and coordination with contractors and project teams.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of basic civil engineering principles, good site-management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and execution of civil construction activities.
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and site workers.
- Check construction work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Read and interpret civil engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Monitor materials, manpower, and equipment used at the project site.
- Take site measurements and assist in preparing quantity estimates and measurement sheets.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site records, and project documentation.
- Assist senior engineers in preparing project schedules and monitoring progress.
- Identify site issues and report them to the senior/project engineer for timely resolution.
- Ensure construction activities follow safety standards and site procedures.
- Conduct basic quality checks for concrete, steel, masonry, plastering, flooring, and other civil works.
- Assist in checking quantities and coordinating material requirements.
- Monitor work progress against project timelines.
- Support inspections, testing, and handover activities.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices at the construction site.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of civil construction methods and practices.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation and measurements.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and quality standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work at construction/project sites.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Freshers with good technical knowledge may also apply.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in civil construction, site engineering, infrastructure, or real estate projects preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
