About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Specialist to join our growing travel business. The ideal candidate will have strong sales acumen, excellent client relationship management skills, and experience in selling travel products and services to corporate or retail customers. The role requires identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and individual customers.
- Understand client travel requirements and recommend suitable domestic and international travel solutions.
- Promote and sell travel packages, flight bookings, hotel reservations, visa assistance, holiday packages, MICE, and other travel-related services.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare and present customized travel proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with operations and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and customer database in the CRM system.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Participate in sales campaigns, exhibitions, networking events, and client meetings.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through prompt follow-ups and after-sales support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 2–10 years of sales experience, preferably in the Travel & Tourism industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer relationship management and business development capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to work independently and in a target-driven environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in selling Corporate Travel, Leisure Travel, MICE, Business Travel, or Holiday Packages.
- Strong network of corporate clients and travel partners.
- Familiarity with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with travel management companies (TMCs), destination management companies (DMCs), online travel agencies (OTAs), or tour operators.
