The Foreman – Steel & Plastering Works is responsible for supervising and coordinating all reinforcement steel (rebar) and plastering activities at the construction site. The role ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesSteel (Reinforcement) Works
- Supervise all reinforcement steel installation activities as per approved structural drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Allocate daily tasks to steel fixers and monitor productivity.
- Verify reinforcement size, spacing, cover, lap lengths, and anchorage before concrete pouring.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer and QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of reinforcement materials.
- Identify and resolve site issues related to reinforcement works.
Plastering Works
- Supervise internal and external plastering works according to approved specifications.
- Ensure correct surface preparation before plaster application.
- Monitor plaster thickness, alignment, level, finish, and curing requirements.
- Coordinate material availability and workforce for uninterrupted progress.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and rectify defects.
General Site Responsibilities
- Plan and organise daily work activities to achieve project targets.
- Supervise labour, subcontractors, and equipment efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions at all times.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, QA/QC inspectors, and other trades to avoid work conflicts.
- Maintain daily progress reports, labour attendance, and material usage records.
- Report delays, quality issues, and resource requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
- Ensure work is completed within project schedules while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant trade certification is an advantage.
Experience
candidate should be keratitis willing to relocate Bangalore
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in building construction projects.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Foreman supervising steel reinforcement and plastering works.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
