Job Overview
We are looking for a result-oriented Sales Executive / Business Development Executive with proven experience in converting leads into paid customers and closing sales deals.
The candidate will be responsible for both B2C and B2B sales. This includes converting individual students, parents, and aspirants, as well as approaching schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and educational institutions for partnership-based scholarship tests and olympiads conducted through the Preplap platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact and follow up with students, parents, aspirants, schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and educational institutions.
- Explain Preplap’s scholarship tests, olympiads, mock tests, subscriptions, and competitive exam preparation benefits.
- Convert individual leads into paid users through proper counselling and sales communication.
- Approach schools and colleges for dedicated scholarship tests, olympiads, and student assessment programmes.
- Close B2B deals with institutions where Preplap will conduct scholarship tests or olympiads for their students.
- Build and maintain relationships with principals, directors, coordinators, teachers, and decision-makers.
- Present Preplap’s product value, test process, security features, student benefits, and institution-level advantages.
- Understand institutional requirements and coordinate with the internal team for customised test planning.
- Maintain proper follow-up records and update lead/deal status regularly.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Handle objections, negotiate professionally, and close deals effectively.
- Coordinate with the internal team for onboarding, support, documentation, and execution of institutional tests.
- Promote upcoming scholarship tests, olympiads, mock tests, and Preplap’s question bank benefits.
Must-Have Skills
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in sales conversion.
- Strong communication, convincing, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience in tele-sales, inside sales, field sales, B2B sales, ed-tech sales, counselling, or subscription sales.
- Ability to approach and communicate with schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and institutional decision-makers.
- Ability to explain Preplap’s product clearly to students, parents, job aspirants, and educational institutions.
- Good follow-up and lead management skills.
- Target-oriented mindset with the ability to close both individual and institutional sales.
- Basic understanding of competitive exams, scholarship tests, olympiads, mock tests, and online learning platforms.
- Comfortable with calls, WhatsApp follow-ups, emails, CRM/lead sheets, and online meetings.
- Ability to handle objections and convert interested leads into paying customers or partner institutions.
- Professional behaviour, patience, confidence, and discipline while dealing with customers and institutions.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in ed-tech sales will be an advantage.
- Experience in B2B sales with schools, colleges, coaching institutes, or educational organisations.
- Knowledge of SSC, government job preparation, GK/current affairs, olympiads, scholarship tests, and student assessment products.
- Ability to communicate in Hindi and English.
- Experience in selling online courses, test series, mock tests, subscriptions, institutional learning products, or educational partnerships.
- Ability to give product demos and explain the platform through online meetings.
Compensation
Fixed salary + performance-based incentives.

Minimum Bachelor's degree
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
