Job Summary
The Sales Trainer (Sales Coach) is responsible for improving the knowledge, skills, and performance of the sales team through training, coaching, and continuous performance monitoring. The role focuses on enhancing product knowledge, sales techniques, customer handling, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct induction training for new sales executives.
- Deliver regular training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge, finance, insurance, and CRM.
- Coach sales executives through field visits, role plays, and one-on-one sessions.
- Identify training needs by analyzing sales performance and customer feedback.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements.
- Ensure the sales team follows the company's sales process and standard operating procedures.
- Train employees on objection handling, negotiation, closing techniques, and customer experience.
- Coordinate with Sales Managers to develop action plans for improving individual and team performance.
- Prepare training calendars, materials, assessments, and performance reports.
- Keep the team updated on new vehicle launches, competitor products, and market trends.
- Support sales campaigns, promotional activities, and dealership events through coaching and guidance.
- Maintain records of training attendance, assessments, and employee development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Certification in sales training or coaching is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in automobile sales, with at least 1–2 years in sales training or coaching.
- Experience in dealership operations is preferred.
