Job Title: Staff Nurse

Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care by assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring health conditions, assisting physicians, and educating patients and their families. The Staff Nurse ensures safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes promptly.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain infection prevention and control practices.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment safely.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.
- Comply with hospital policies, nursing standards, and legal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Valid nursing license/registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred, depending on department).
- Relevant clinical experience preferred.
