The Vistex Associate IT Applications Engineer supports the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and continual improvement of business applications and supporting platforms, including Ivanti ITSM, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365/Office 365 and SharePoint Online. This role works closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to help ensure applications are secure, reliable, and available, and that incidents, service requests, and changes are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Responds to incidents and service requests, performs initial troubleshooting of application issues, and works to restore service efficiently and professionally while developing a strong rapport with the user base
- Maintains accurate ticket statuses, documents troubleshooting steps and resolutions, and follows service management processes and SLAs.
- Supports productivity and collaboration services (Microsoft 365/Office 365, SharePoint) and IT service management processes and tooling (Ivanti ITSM); coordinates with senior team members and vendors as needed
- Assists with analysis and diagnosis of application errors/faults, including log review and configuration validation; escalates or partners for root-cause analysis as appropriate.
- Works with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify needs for new or improved applications; assists with evaluation of options (fit, cost, security, supportability).
- Assists with testing and deployment activities for new applications and releases, including user acceptance support and post-deployment verification.
- Supports the roll-out of new applications and features, including communications, documentation, training coordination, and end-user support.
- Assists with project work, including application implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements, under guidance from senior team members.
- Creates and maintains documentation/knowledge articles and provides instructions to staff when necessary
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support rotations as required.

Less than 2 year(s): Experience supporting business applications in an enterprise environment (internship/co-op experience may be considered).

Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, with strong verbal and written communication.

Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and common enterprise endpoint concepts (device management, patching, software deployment).

Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (user/group management, access provisioning, and authentication concepts).
Preferred

Experience supporting end users on business applications and SaaS platforms; exposure to Ivanti ITSM Microsoft 365/Office 365, and SharePoint is a plus.

Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Java script, HTML, CSS).
- Technical writing skills for creating and updating documentation, processes, and procedures.
