About the Role
Quill Publications Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Proofreader / Content Writer to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have excellent command of English and/or Hindi, strong grammar and writing skills, and a passion for creating high-quality educational content.
Key ResponsibilitiesProofreading
- Proofread educational books, workbooks, worksheets, and other learning materials.
- Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and typographical errors.
- Ensure consistency in language, formatting, and editorial style.
- Verify page references, headings, captions, tables, and illustrations.
- Review final proofs before printing to ensure error-free publication.
Content Writing
- Develop engaging and age-appropriate educational content in English and/or Hindi.
- Create exercises, activities, stories, comprehension passages, and practice questions.
- Rewrite and improve existing content for clarity, accuracy, and readability.
- Research topics and ensure factual correctness.
- Follow curriculum guidelines, including NEP and other educational standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and/or Hindi.
- Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to write clearly for different student age groups.
- Good time management and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Hindi, Journalism, Education, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in proofreading, content writing, editing, or educational publishing.
- Freshers with excellent language proficiency and writing skills are welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in school textbook or children's content development.
- Familiarity with NEP-aligned curriculum and educational publishing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Adobe Acrobat PDF.
- Ability to work collaboratively with editors, illustrators, and designers.
