Position Overview:
The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will support talent operations in addition to the design, coordination and delivery of professional development programs and learning initiatives for L.E.K.'s Australia practice, based in our Gurgaon office.
This role combines learning strategy and content design, program facilitation support, and operational coordination, working closely with the HR Manager, Australia leadership, global counterparts and external partners to deliver high-quality training and development across the practice.
The role requires an experienced Learning & Development practitioner who can work independently across time zones, manage multiple priorities, and operate confidently in a fast-paced professional services environment. The role also requires working experience in people operations and HR business Partnering support.
Major Responsibilities:
Australia Learning & Development
Learning Strategy & Program Design
Contribute to the design and support implementation of the Australia multi-year learning strategy
Re-design course content in conjunction with subject matter experts across the business
Conduct training needs analysis during half-yearly performance reviews, identifying development gaps
Coordinate the monthly Australia learning curriculum
Support facilitation of learning programs across the Australia practice
Develop on-demand content for orientation and key learning modules
Continuously improve the Australia approach to learning and participant experience
Annual Professional Development (PD)
Coordinate and manage the Australia Annual PD calendar and training roadmap
Support planning and execution of Manager PD programs
Coordinate Core Services Annual PD programs across offices
Track Australia PD program participation, attendance and feedback
Support promotion and visibility of quarterly training initiatives and learning campaigns
PD Administration & Logistics
Manage monthly Consulting PD operations and logistics
Coordinate training schedules, invitations and calendar management
Track monthly training attendance and reporting
Manage training feedback processes including communications, tracking and reminders
Prepare quarterly reporting for Australia leadership, Office Heads and Sector Heads
Training Coordination & Content Management
Prepare training invitations, communication materials and flyers
Partner with trainers and facilitators to update learning materials and presentation decks
Maintain and update decks on the Global PD repository
Attend Global PD community of practice calls and support follow-up actions where required
Ensure learning materials and communications are accurate, updated and aligned globally
Australia People & Talent Operations
Performance Review Cycles
Coordinate the end-to-end half-yearly performance review process requirements for the Australia practice
Support calibration sessions and consolidate review outcomes for leadership
Track completion rates and follow up with managers and employees on outstanding reviews
Maintain performance review documentation and ensure data accuracy in HR systems
Partner with the Learning and Inclusion Manager to translate review outcomes into development priorities
Talent Projects & Operations
Support execution of Australia talent projects, including recruitment funnel tracking and reporting
Support delivery of promotion and career progression processes
Assist with ad-hoc talent initiatives such as engagement surveys and retention analysis
Other Strategic Projects
Drive key strategic initiatives in support of the Australia practice's growth strategy
Coordinate and support execution of regional PD projects and new learning program launches
Contribute to continuous improvement of learning processes and participant experience
Support the broader Talent team on other initiatives and business-as-usual activity
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Liaise with internal stakeholders including HRBPs, consulting leadership and program facilitators
Support smooth delivery of learning sessions across multiple offices and time zones
Build strong working relationships across the Australia leadership team
Support ad-hoc people initiatives and special projects as required
Candidate Requirements:
Strong facilitation and content design skills, with the ability to lead learning sessions independently
Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across regions
Proactive, collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment
Strong operational discipline and execution capability
Genuine interest in learning and development, and people strategy
Experience supporting performance review cycles, talent operations or broader people operations processes
Sound understanding of HR and talent operations practices, including data management and reporting
Candidate Qualifications:
Masters degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organisational Development or a related field
5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, HR Operations or people coordination roles, including content design and facilitation
Prior experience designing and delivering learning programs, training operations or employee engagement initiatives
Experience within professional services, consulting or a fast-paced corporate environment preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Experience managing training logistics, communications and stakeholder coordination
Familiarity with learning platforms, survey tools or HR systems is an advantage
Experience working across regional or multicultural teams, ideally supporting Australia or APAC, preferred
4+ years of experience in People or Talent Operations, performance management or HR operations, in addition to L&D experience
Prior experience supporting performance review cycles, talent projects or workforce reporting in a professional services or corporate environment
