The Salesman is responsible for promoting and selling rice products to retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and institutional customers. The role involves market visits, order collection, customer relationship management, payment follow-up, and achieving sales targets while maintaining brand presence in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell rice products to retailers, distributors, supermarkets, and wholesale customers.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and ensure consistent market coverage in the assigned territory.
- Collect orders from customers and coordinate with dispatch/logistics teams for timely delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to support business growth.
- Ensure product visibility, merchandising, and brand presence in retail outlets.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and support collection activities as per company policy.
- Prepare daily sales reports, market feedback reports, and customer visit updates.
- Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams regarding stock availability and dispatch schedules.
- Ensure professional conduct and represent the company positively in the market.
Desired Qualification
- Plus Two / Degree preferred
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in FMCG / Rice / Food product sales preferred
