About the Role We're hiring two Business Development Executives / Sales Engineers — one based in Pune, one in Hyderabad — to lead our expansion into these regions. This is a remote, home-based field sales role with no local office; you'll spend your time meeting clients, generating opportunities, and converting them into projects, supported by our in-house engineering team for technical discussions. The role is best suited to a self-driven sales professional who is comfortable owning a territory independently.
Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across manufacturers, OEMs, automotive companies, machine builders, and process industries
- Meet prospective clients and understand their automation and engineering requirements
- Lead client discussions, with technical team support as needed
- Generate enquiries and RFQs, and coordinate quotations and proposals
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Maintain CRM records and sales reports
- Conduct market and competitor research
- Attend industry exhibitions and networking events
- Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams for smooth handover
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in B2B industrial sales
- Background in industrial automation, electrical, engineering services, control panels, robotics, machine building, or industrial components
- Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, home-based role
Preferred
- Existing industry contacts in Pune or Hyderabad
- Prior experience selling PLC, SCADA, HMI, or control panel solutions
Compensation Modest fixed salary with uncapped, performance-based incentives and commissions. Earning potential is directly tied to results — high performers can significantly exceed standard sales compensation.
