About the role
The position is based out of Hyderabad to work with the AP and Telangana Geography team of Azim Premji Foundation. In AP and Telangana, we support organizations which work with small and marginal farmers, adivasis, persons with disability, adolescent girls, urban poor, and children.
Responsibilities
- Grant Making: Appraisal of proposals and budgets with due diligence visits to the field and develop customised proposals
- Grant Management: Manage the grants by reviewing the programme and financial documents and track the progress against the agreed milestones and effects
- Scoping of the geography to understand the vulnerabilities and also to map the potential CSOs for developing effective and long lasting impact ideas and interventions.
What are we looking for
Candidates who have
- Good understanding of at least 2 themes (rural livelihoods including agriculture and water, disability, gender, health, youth, tribal, urban poor, children) and has worked intensively with vulnerable communities.
- Managed the CSO working in rural, tribal and urban settings.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree desirable
- Should have made significant and long-lasting contributions in his/her area of specialisation
- High level of self-motivation, initiative, and creativity
- Willingness to travel extensively for work in both states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
- Substantial knowledge of organisational and project management
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and solve problems independently or collaboratively if needed
- Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience in the sector
- Able to speak local language (Telugu) is preferred
