Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven Admission Counselor with a strong business mindset to join our growing admissions team. This role requires a unique blend of advisory skills and sales acumen to guide prospective students through the admissions process while achieving enrollment and revenue goals.
The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, strategic thinker, and passionate about helping students make informed educational choices—while driving lead conversion and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Admission/ Registration & Sales
- Drive student enrollments by actively converting qualified leads into admissions.
- Conduct consultative calls to understand applicants’ career goals and recommend appropriate programs.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly enrollment targets and revenue objectives.
Lead Management & CRM
- Manage, nurture, and follow up on leads generated through digital campaigns, referrals, and events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM.
- Segment and prioritize leads to maximize conversion potential.
Data-Driven Strategy
- Analyze lead conversion metrics to identify trends and improve outreach strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and program offerings based on student feedback and market demand.
Outreach & Engagement
- Conduct virtual and in-person info sessions, webinars, and campus tours (if applicable).
- Represent the institution at education fairs, corporate tie-ups, and networking events.
- Build strong rapport with prospective students, parents, and professional contacts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and academic teams to ensure smooth admissions processes and high-quality student on boarding.
- Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (required); MBA or experience in business/sales is a strong plus.
- Experience: 2+ years in admissions, sales, student recruitment, or business development—preferably in education or ed tech.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Persuasive and empathetic approach to counseling
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Data-oriented with the ability to analyze and act on KPIs
- Proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools
Performance Indicators:
- Student enrollment numbers
- Lead-to-enrollment conversion rates
- Time to close a lead
- Revenue generated per intake
- Student satisfaction and retention (first semester/year)
